Current Gallery: windows to dreamworld ( piece)
This gallery is a collection of work I have done over the last 10 years. Mediums include colored pencil, digital and mixed. Most of the work here did not come out of a preconceived idea rather the subject of each piece emerged as the creative process unfolded. A few pieces even evolved into two versions in which a piece originally done in colored pencil was later mixed with digital. Though the work contained here might be categorized as abstract or surreal, I like to refer to them as windows to Dreamworld. This body of work takes subject matter from the world of form --> what we call reality --> and presents it from a viewpoint of a dream or a state of altered consciousness. The pieces invite the viewer to take a step back from their normal view of reality and consider a more expanded view, of which the world of form is one part. And if the viewer is feeling adventurous they might just step through the window and reengage their own dreaming and begin again to imagine a world full of mystery, majik and wonderful adventure.
